Solitary Pixel?

Yup, it's just me. There's not much behind the name except to say that I like the sound of it. Maybe there's some subconscious reason I chose it and maybe I'll get around to figuring it out. But for now I would like to thank you for visiting my site and hope you enjoy what you see.

Years ago I had wanted to become a photographer and actually started taking classes at the local community college hoping to move on to an art school of some sort. But alas, my own inner demons and the dreaded tech industry pulled me away. I currently work in an IT dept at an auto plant outside of Chicago. After dabbling in photography for the past few years on and off I happened to be wandering the net and somehow came across two photoblogs that caught my eye, Orbit1 & No Traces . I had always loved night photography and seeing the work these two were doing blew my away. .

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic that shot 110 cartridge film. My first SLR was a Minolta 3xi. After a long relationship with Minolta I switched to Canon.
